Rick Hardy is a musician with a career spanning 45 years. In his younger days he was known as Rick Richards and was resident singer at the birthplace of UK rock'n'roll, Soho's 2 I's coffee bar. There he backed, among others, a young Cliff Richard and went on to replace Adam Faith in the Worried Men Skiffle Group. Moving to Hamburg in 1960 he went on to play rock 'n roll in a band with Tony Sheridan called the Jets They were the first UK rock band to perform in Hamburg and they played at the same time and in the same clubs as the Beatles. Now known by his real name, Rick Hardy, he performs a well established solo act featuring cockney and music hall songs.
